We have a solid reputation in the industry for quality work delivered on time. We work closely with your management team to ensure we adhere to your project schedule. We don’t claim to be the least expensive millwork provider, but what we do guarantee is superior levels of service and integrity unparalleled in our industry. On this we will never compromise.

COMPANY HISTORY

Southwest Millworks, Inc. was originally founded by Chris Hogan in 1983 as Southwest Construction & Millwork, which served the San Diego County area as a commercial tenant improvement general contractor as well as a finish carpentry subcontractor.  During the early 1990’s our portfolio began to shift from primarily operating as a general contractor to becoming a full time interior architectural millwork subcontractor.

Most of our contracts completed at that time were for the hotel and restaurant industry. Our major clients included Soup Plantation, The Hunter, California Pizza Kitchen, El Fornaio and Rubios restaurants.

By the end of the decade, San Diego was home to a rapidly growing biotech industry, and we became a leader in laboratory casework fabrication serving clients such as Amylin Pharmaceutical, Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inova Diagnostics, Vical Research Labs, Sequenom, Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla Institute and UCSD Medical Center.

In the year 2000 Southwest Construction & Millwork elected to redirect its primary focus towards casework fabrication, which led to the incorporation of our new company name, Southwest Millworks.
